New Delhi : With new positive cases being reported from different parts of the country, the number of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases increased to 324 including 41 foreigners and four deaths in India at 9.45 am on March 22, 2020. Twentyfour others have been cured/discharged/migrated. The four deaths have been reported from Delhi, Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra. Meanwhile, roads and streets across the country wore a deserted look on March 22 as the people are mostly indoors in view of the ‘Janata Curfew’ call given by PM Narendra Modi.

Among the states,  Maharashtra has reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 63 including three foreigners followed by Kerala with 52 including seven foreigners. Delhi has reported 27 positive cases including a foreigner while Uttar Pradesh has recorded 25 cases including one foreigner. Telangana has reported 21 cases including 11 foreigners.

Rajasthan has reported 24 cases including two foreigners, according Union Health & Family Welfare Ministry. Haryana has reported 17 cases including 14 foreigners. Karnataka has recorded 20 COVID-19 positive cases of which two have been discharged while one died. Punjab and Ladakh have 13 cases each. Gujarat has 14 cases while Tamil Nadu has 6 cases including  2 foreigners.Chandigarh has five cases. Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and West Bengal have reported four cases each so far.

Andhra Pradesh and Uttarakhand have reported three cases each. Odisha and Himachal Pradesh reported 2 cases each. Puducherry and Chhattisgarh have reported one case each.
