Motihari : Police, on a tip off on March 14, 2020, arrested four members of a gang of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) racketeers from village Murtiya under Adapur police station near Indo-Nepal border in East Champaran District in North Bihar and recovered fake Indian notes of the face value Rs 2,13, 000 from their possession. All the four arrested racketeers were sent to jail.
East Champaran SP Navin Chandra Jha said that the arrested persons have been identified as Aash Mohammad, Julfiqar Alam,
Sirajul Ansari, and Shamsuddin Baitha, residents of areas falling under Adapur police station. They were involved in the racket for long in this border areas. All the seized counterfeit notes are in the denomination of 2,000 and 500. They have confessed that they had brought
these notes from Malda in West Bengal.
SP Jha further said that Aash Mohammad was arrested earlier too in New Delhi with fake currencies and was jailed while Julfiqar Alam was arrested with fake notes at Samastipur railway station in North Bihar earlier and was jailed. The arrested persons were sent
to jail .
