Kumar Rajiv Nayan
Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids in Pakari and Anaith localities under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur District, on February 29, 2020, and arrested seven gamblers and seized seven mobiles, three calculators, board, Rs 16,000 cash and other articles.
The arrested gamblers were identified as Ravindra Singh, Raj Kumar, Shrawan Kumar, Pankaj Kumar, Raju Kumar, Ankit Kumar, and Manoj Chaudhary.
SHO, Nawada police station, Sanjeev Kumar said that he got information that gambling centres were being run in Pakari and Anaith localities under Nawada police station. He immediately swung into action and with heavy police force conducted raids at both the centres and arrested seven gamblers and seized mobiles, board, calculators and other articles. A named FIR has been lodged by Nawada police station in this connection and police sent the arrested gamblers to jail after interrogation.
