Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADJ) I, Ara,, R K Singh, on September 21, 2019, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment Santosh Chaudhary alias Chhote till death and also slapped a fine of Rs 1.5 lakh on him and awarded rigorous life imprisonment to Anurag Chaudhary and Dabloo Mahto alias Vinod Kumar which would be at least 20 years and slapped a fine of Rs 1 lakh on each of them for outraging modesty of a teenage girl.
Special Public Prosecutor Saroj Kumari said that a teenage girl was travelling in a train on September 20, 2018, with her two friends from Narayanpur on way to Ara. Anurag Chadhary of the same village was also travelling in the train. He forcibly got her off the train at Gadhani railway station alleging she was fleeing from her house. He called one of his associates Dabloo Mahato alias Vinod Kumar and forcibly took her to an unknown place under Piro Sub-division where Santosh Chaudhary alias Chhote was waiting with a car. All the three took the girl at a burial site in the vicinity of Narayanpur village where they outraged her modesty one by one.
Later, they dropped the girl near Narayanpur School threatening her with dire consequences if she dared disclose the incident before anyone. The girl somehow reached her house and narrated her ordeal before her parents and family members. The family members lodged a named FIR with Gadhani police station against three persons: Anurag Chaudhary, Santosh Chaudhary alias Chhote, and Dabloo Mahato alias Vinod Kumar. Charges were framed against the named accused on April 16, 2019.
After hearing both the parties, the court held all the three accused : Santosh Chaudhary alias Chhote, Dabloo Mahato alias Vinod Kumar and Anurag Chaudhary guilty of outraging modesty of a teenage girl.
