Antonsen is World No 5 in BWF rankings, Praneeth is World No 15

Patna : Kento Momota (1,08,318 points), Japan, Chou Tien Chen ( 87,478 points), Chinese Taipei, Shi Yu Qi (83,301 points), China, and Jonatan Christie (73,208 points), Indonesia, remain World No 1, 2, 3 & 4 respectively in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on August 27, 2019, but Anders Antonsen, 22, Denmark, has jumped 4 places to be ranked World No 5 with 72,949 points after reaching the final of BWF World Championships at Basel, Switzerland, which concluded on August 25, 2019.

B Sai Praneeth, India, has also jumped 4 places to be ranked World No 15 with 51,650 points. Kidambi Srikanth, India, remains static at World No 10 with 62,130 points while Sameer Verma, India, has dropped 2 places to be ranked World No 16 with 51,389 points.

H S Prannoy, India, has also jumped 3 places to be ranked World No 27 with 40,535 points after reaching 3rd round of BWF World Championships. But, Parupalli Kashyap, India, has dropped 1 place to be ranked World No 32 with 37,310 points. Sourabh Verma, India, remains World No 38 with 34,839 points while Subhankar Dey, India, remains World No 41 with 34.130 points. Ajay Jayaram, India,has slipped 1 position to be ranked World No 74 with 22,840 points while Lakshya Sen, India, has dropped one place to be ranked World No 76 with 22,680 points.

Five -time former World Champion Lin Dan, China, has dropped 2 places to be ranked World N0 19 with 49,470 points. Reigning Olympic Gold Medallist Chen Long, China, has slipped 1 position to be ranked World No 6 with 72,830 points. Viktor Axelsen, Denmark, has also slipped 1 place to be ranked World No 7 with 69,508 points.
