Motihari :  Police on August 29, 2019, recovered the body of  missing Night Guard of Project Girls’ High School, Patah, in East Champaran District, Ram Narayan Baitha, from pond at Rupauliya. Ram Narayan Baitha was missing since August 26, 2019,  evening. He was killed  by someone and the body was thrown into the pond. Police sent the body to Motihari Sadar Hospital for post- mortem.

SHO, Patahi police station, Vikash Tiwari, said that Night Guard Baitha was missing since August 26 and his family members  had lodged a report with police in this regard. Police are investigating into the incident, the SHO said and added that a Peon of the school has been detained and being quizzed by the police.

According to police sources, Baitha was an accused in murder case of wife of Ajit Sah of village Bela and was sent to jail  in that case. Principal of the High School Savitri Singh said that the staff members of the school mourned Ram Narayan Baitha and
consoled his family members. The school teachers have demanded immediate arrest  of  the assailants.
