Bagaha: Circle officer (CO) of Bagaha I circle in West Champaran district Raj Kishor Sao and Circle Inspector Jagnarain Gupta were made hostage for few hourse on Saturday by residents of Pachapherwa, who also damaged the vehicle carrying them.
Sources said that a dispute over five katha of Gairmazaruwa land was going on between two villagers Murari Singh and Bharat Yadav of the village. The CO, with his associates, had gone there to solve the matter. But, the CO and others were made hostage by an irate mob of villagers, who also damaged the vehicle carrying them. Soon after getting information, Bagaha SDPO Sanjiv Kumar, Chautarawa police station SHO Samrat Dipak along with police force reached the spot and rescued the CO and others.
