New Delhi : An Indian Air Force (IAF) service vehicle met with an accident near Barmer, Rajasthan, on August 21, 2019, around 10.15 am. There were six IAF personnel travelling in the vehicle. Corporal GS Rawat, Non Combatant (E) Ashok Kumar, and Non Combatant (E) L Serpa Kumar sustained fatal injuries. Investigation has been ordered into the incident by IAF authorities.

Sergeant Mani Ram and Non Combatant (E)  Arun Kumar, who have sustained severe injuries, have been airlifted to Military Hospital, Jodhpur. Corporal Prasad, who sustained minor injuries, is being treated at Govt Hospital, Barmer. Indian Air Force expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased air-warriors, according to a PIB release.
