Minor girl raped at Bhojpur village, police yet to arrest accused

Ara : Modesty of minor girl was outraged at a village under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district on July 15, 2019, by a youth of the same village. A named FIR was lodged by Women’s police station on the statement of grand-father of the girl on July 22, 2019, evening, against a youth Rahul Singh of the village.

Police brought the girl over to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination on July 23, 2019,  and also produced her before an  Ara  Court to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.

SHO, Tarari police station, said the grand-father of the girl had gone to his son, an employee of the Indian Railway in Gujarat, leaving his second son, his wife, and daughter behind at the village. On July 15, 2019, when his son and daughter-in- law had gone to a doctor, a youth of the village Rahul Singh entered the house and outraged modesty of his minor grand-daughter and escaped. When her parents returned, she narrated her ordeal before them. His son informed him about the incident. On his information,the grand-gather of the girl came back from Gujarat and instituted a named FIR with Women’s police station.
