Congress leader shot dead in broad daylight in Bagaha

Bagaha : A Congress leader of West Champaran  district in North Bihar Fakhruddin Khan, 55, husband of Mukhia,  Sohasa panchayat, Nazmin Khanam of Ramnagar  block under the same  police station, was gunned down in broad daylight on on July 19, 2019, around 12.30 pm at his Lakhankhor pond, 10 km away from Ramnagar police station.

Two motorbike borne assailants called him to meet at his own Lakhankhor pond. As soon as he reached there, the armed assailants  fired  at him thrice killing him on the spot. SDPO, Ramnagar, in Bagaha police district, Arjunlal said that  police were investigating into the incident.

Sources said Fakhruddin Khan had unsuccessfully contested assembly elections from Ramnagar in 2005 and from Narkatiaganj assembly constituency in 2009. He had also unsuccessfully contest  parliamentary elections in 2009 from Valmikinagar constituency.
