Patna : Top seed and defending champion Novak Djokovic, Serbia, World No 23 David Goffin, Belgium, and World No 37 Fernando Verdasco, Spain, reached the 4th round of Wimbledon Championships, London, on July 5, 2019.

Djokovic beat World No 48 Hubert Hurkacz, 22, Poland, in a tough four-set contest 7-5, 6-7, 6-1, 6-4 in the third round at AllEngland Club, London. Djokovic won break points in the match though his conversion rate was very poor. He created 17 opportunities to break Hurkaczce but could convert only four of them. One of the highlights of the match was a 35 shot rally won by the Pole.

Verdasco beat  World No Thomas Fabbiano, Italy, 6-4, 7-6, 6-4 in the 3rd round. The Spaniard won 4 break points to 2 by Fabbiano. Verdasco fired 12 Aces in the match to 2 by the Italian.

Goffin entered the 4th round defeating World No 13 Daniil Medvedev, Russia, 4-6, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 in the 3rd round. Medvedev though fired 20 Aces in the match to 10 by Goffin. Goffin won 7 break points to 5 by the Russian.
