Ara: Regional Deputy Director of Education (RDDE) has terminated services of 30 lady school teachers of Patna division after their appointments were found illegal during a CBI inquiry. These lady teachers of Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Nalanda, Rohtas and Kaimur districts, were appointed in 1980.

RDDE Usha Chaudhary issued letters to all the District Education Officers and Headmasters of the schools in Patna division informing them that the services of lady teachers appointed by the then School Deputy Director, District School Inspectress, School Inspectress cum Education Director in 1980, had been terminated with immediate effect.  She directed the Headmasters of the schools concerned to comply with the order and submit a report in this regard immediately. The RDDE, in her letter, said that the School Inspectress cum Deputy Director (education) had sought explanation from these lady teachers earlier and after that the education department took the decision.

Of the 30 lady teachers whose services have been terminated, 22 were posted i Patna district while eight others were posted in Rohtas, Nalanda, Kaimur, Bhojpur and Buxar districts. District Education Officer (DEO), Bhojpur, Suresh Prasad confirmed the action taken by the RDDE.
