Ara : Department of Mines & Geology on May 29, 2019, lodged FIRs against 24 brick-kiln owners with different police stations in Bhojpur district for not paying royalty amount.
Pramod Kumar, Assistant Director, Department of Mines & Geology, said that brick-kiln owners were running their brick-kilns without depositing royalty despite several reminders. He said that as he got information about it, he immediately formed a team that conducted raids at different places under 6 police stations and found that a number of brick-kilns had not deposited royalty.
