Motihari :  Union Agriculture Minister and BJP nominee Radha Mohan Singhon April 17, 2019, filed  his nomination papers
from Purvi Champaran parliamentary constituency (PC) before Returning Officer (RO) Shashi Shekhar  Chaudary at collectorate here. This constituency will go to the polls in 6th phase on May 12, 2019. Radha Mohan is contesting from here for the 9th time and has won the seat five times. He  announced that he will not contest the 2024 LS polls.

Sitting MP and BJP nominee  Rama Devi also filed her nomination papers from  Sheohar  parliamentary constituency  filed her nomination papers  before  Rturning Officer and DM, East Champaran , Raman Kumar.  Sheohar constituency will also go to polls on May 12, 2019.

Both Radhamohan Singh and Rama Devi reached the local collectorate  after holding a roadshow with the leaders, MLAs, MLC and NDA workers.  A public meeting was also held  at local Gandhi Maidan which was addressed  by Bihar Tourism Minister Pramod Kumar and Co-operative Minister Rana Randhir Singh.

Akash Prasad Singh , RLSP  nominee  from Grand Alliance and son of  BPCC Campaign Committee chairperson Akhilesh Prasad Singh, MP,  also filed his nomination papers  for Purvi Champaran parliamentary constituency before the returning officer here . The Grand Alliance leaders and workers  reached collectorate after a roadshow. They also held a public meeting  at local Homeguard Maidan.

Incidentally, no state level NDA or Grand Alliance leader  reached  here  on this occasion.
