Bokaro  (Jharkhand) : Hundreds of students along with dozens of teachers led by DPS Bokaro Principal A S Gangwar on April 17, 2019, participated at a poll awareness programme organised on the school campus.

In an endeavour to extend electoral literacy to adult population in various organisations, a special category of Election Literacy Club (ELC) known as the Voter Awareness programme was organised for the students of class XII by a team  of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) here at DPS Bokaro on April 17.

Prabhakar Banwar, District Ambassador of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Programme under which voter’s awareness programme was conducted here stated that SVEEP is a programme of multi- interventions through different modes and media designed to educate citizens and voters about the electoral process to increase their awareness and participation in the electoral process. SVEEP is designed according to the socio-economic, cultural and demographic profile of the state as well as the history of electoral participation in previous rounds of elections and learning thereof.
