Police arrest notorious criminal Shazad Ahmad, 2 others in 2018 double murder case

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested Shazad Ahmad alias Mass Mian of village Gaura under Bahoranpur Police Outpost on March 24, 2019, in connection with a double murder near Ara railway station. He was absconding for the last one year. Police also arrested his two accomplices : Sintu Singh of Dumaria village under Bihia police station and Ashraf Mian of Rampur Milki under Ara Mufasil police station, and seized two loaded pistols, eight live cartridges, and a motorcycle though two of his aides escaped. Shazad Ahmad and his two accomplices were arrested from Bibiganj under Gajrajganj Police Outpost. Police arrested them when they were hatching plan to loot a jewellery shop.

Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar on March 25, 2019, said that some miscreants had shot dead Haqim Mian of Bhaluhipur and Bottle Bind of Bind Toli under Ara Town police station at Ara railway station on May 4, 2018. He said that police had arrested Ajay Kumar who revealed the names of Shazad Ahmad alias Maas Mian, Deepak Kushwaha, Avinash, and Abhishek alias Chhote. On his revelation, police arrested Deepak Kushwaha, Avinash, Abhishek, and Chhote and sent them to jail.

The SP further said that Shazad Mian revealed that he along with his associates killed Haqim Mian and Bottle Bind at the behest of a dreaded criminal Nayeem Mian who wanted to settle his score with them. The SP said that Shazad Mian had become a challenge for the police and an FIR was lodged against him with Bahoranpur police outpost in 2016 under Arms Act and other sections of CrPC but as he was juvenile at that time and got bail. On April 4, 2018, Shahzaqd shot at a CPC owner and snatched Rs 8 lakh from him and added that he was absconding since double murder.

The SP stated that all but Nayeem Mian have been arrested and sent to jail in the double murder case and added that police were conducting raids and would arrest him very soon.

Rail SP Sujit Kumar said that Shazad Mian is one of the main accused in the double murder case at Ara railway station and the police would take him on remand for interrogation.

It may be mentioned here here that Nayeem Mian, brother of a notorious criminal Chand Mian of Dharahara locality under Ara Town police station, is absconding for the last two years. Name of Nayeem Mian had figured in the double murder case besides  the murder of a businessman Krishna Singh of Bhaluhipur and also in the bomb blast at Ara civil Court. He had allegedly taken contract to kill a BJP leader in Mumbai a few years ago and Mumbai police had arrested him in this connection but later got bail in that case.
