Patna : India captain Virat Kohli continue to top the ICC test rankings for the batsmen with 922 rating points but New Zealand captain Kane Williamson with 915 rating points, is just 7 points behind him. If Williamson’s form continues in the next two tests against Bangladesh in the on going three-match series he appears almost certain to overtake Virat Kohli as the No 1 batsman in tests. Williamson scored an unbeaten 200 against Bangladesh in the 1st test.

Cheteshwar Pujara is No 3 batsman with 881 rating points while former Australia captain Steve Smith is No 4 with 857 rating points. England captain Joe Root is No 5 with 763 rating points jumping 3 places while David Warner, Australia, is No 6 with 756 points. Henry Nicholls is No 7 with 755 points while Aiden Markram, South Africa, is No 8 with 719 rating points. Quinton de Kock, South Africa, is No 9 with 718 points jumping 3 places while South Africa captain Faf du Plessis is No 10 with 702 rating points jumping 7 places.
