Police conduct raid at Ara jail, seize 3 knives

Ara : On the direction of Director General of Police Gupteshwar Pandey, Bhojpur police led by Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar and other senior police officers conducted raids at Ara jail for the second time within a week and recovered two screw drivers, three knives, and other objectionable items.

An FIR has been lodged by Ara Town police station in this connection on the statement of Ara Jail Superintendent Niranjan Pandit. Earlier, police had conducted raid at Ara jail on February 21, 2019, after a video of merry making by the inmates went  viral on the social media and seized a mobile phone and articles and vessels used for cooking besides food stuff in large quantity.
