Two youth killed in Rohtas accident, NH 2 blocked on Feb. 7

Sasaram : Two youth were killed near Sonwagadh Shiv Temple uon NH 2 nder Sasaram Muffassil police station in Rohtas district on late February 6, 2019, late evening, when their motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding truck. The deceased were supervisors in the NTPC, Navanagar, and residents of village Sikariya.

Irate villagers blocked the NH 2 with the bodies of the deceased paralysing the movement of vehicles since February 7, 2019, morning, were demanding job for the next kin of the deceased and Rs.10 lakh each compensation to their families.The blockade was lifted after SDO , Raj Kumar Gupta, announced Rs 4 lakh under disaster management and other compensation under Chief Minister Family Benefit Scheme to the family of each of the deceased would be given. Later, police brought the bodies to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
