Man on morning walk dies in accident at Ara, locals register strong protest

Ara : Angry over the death of a 30 year old man in a road accident, the locals blocked the Ara-Barhara and Ara-Sinha main road near Gangi under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district with the body of the deceased paralysing movement of vehicles since January 14, 2019, morning. They burnt tyres on road raising slogans against district administration and demanded Rs 10 lakh compensation and a government job to the next of kin of the deceased.

The blockade was lifted after positive response from the police officials. Later, police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara,  for post-mortem.

SHO, Ara Town police station, said that Raj Deo Yadav, 30, son of Dhan Kishun Yadav of Bhaluhipur locality under Ara Town police station, was on morning walk when a speeding sand laden tractor knocked him down near Gangi locality and the driver escaped from the spot leaving tractor behind. The engine of the tractor stopped working after the accident. The youth fell to the ground and succumbed to his injuries immdediately.
