Bike borne criminals demand Rs 6 lakh from Piro Mall woner, fire 2 rounds

Ara : Two motorcycle borne miscreants fired at a Mall at Piro Bazaar under Piro police station in Bhojpur district on January 13, 2019, late evening, and demanded an exrortion (Rangdari) of Rs. 6 lakh with a threat of dire consequences from the Mall owner. They also fired two round and damaged door glasses of the Mall triggering panic among among traders and businessmen of the area.

An FIR has been lodged with Piro police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection though police claimed that they are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Police seized blank cartridge from the spot.

SHO, Piro police station, said that two motorcycle borne miscreants intruded the Priyanshu Mall at Piro Bazaar under Piro police station after dashing the sentinels. They looted Rs 50,000 from the cash counter and snatched cellphones of Manager Roushan Kumar and other employees of the Mall. The miscreants also demanded Rs 6 lakh as rangdari from the owner of the Mall saying their associate would come on January 14 to collect the amount. They fired two rounds, damaged the door glass and left the spot saying they are nor afraid of anyone.
