Ara : Some unidentified miscreants shot dead a vegetable seller at Mahthin Tola under Ayar police station in Bhojpur district on December 30, 2018, late evening, and escaped. Later, police brought the body over over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem. The reason behind the incident is yet be ascertained.

SHO, Ayar police station, said that Kaushal Singh, 45, son of Radha Singh of Mahathin Tola ran a vegetable shop at Baligaon village. On December 30 late evening, when he was returning home on his bicycle, half- a-dozen unidentified armed miscreants waylaid him and pumped three bullets into his body near Mahathin Tola Bus stand and escaped. The SHO said that police are conducting raids at different places to nab the miscreants.
Injured : In another incident, a sand labourer Bhutali was injured with traditional weapon at Baburwani sand ghat under Koelwar police station in a group clash on December 31, 2018. Later, he was admitted to Sadar Hospital. An FIR has been lodged with  Koelwar police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

Bhutali worked as sand labourer at Baburwani Sand Ghat. On December 31 morning, he had some tiff with other sand labourers while loading sand on tractors. The incident took ugly turn when some sand labourers attacked him with traditional weapon seriously injuring Bhutali. Later, some persons rushed him to the Referral Hospital at Koelwar but the doctors referred him to the Sadar Hospital.
