S Africa score 363/7 in 3rd ODI against SL, Hendricks hits ton on debut

Patna : South Africa scored 363/7 in 50 overs in the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele, on August 5, 2018, riding on a 89 ball 102 with 8 fours and a six by debutant Reeza Hendricks, 28, and 70 ball 92 with 8 fours and 4 sixes by Jean-Paul Duminy. Hendricks is third South African batsman and 14th overall to score a century on ODI debut. Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl.

Opener Hashim Amla made 59 in 59 ball with 9 fours and six while David Miller scored 51 in 47 ball with 5 fours and a six. Captain Faf du Plessis was out for 10 while opener Quinton de Kock was out for 2. Andile Phehlukwayo remained unbeaten on 24 in 11 ball with 3 fours and a six. Duminy and Miller were involved in a 103 run partnership for the 5th wicket. South Africa lead the three-match ODI series 2-0.

For Sri Lanka, Thisara Perera took 4/75 while Lahiru Kumara took 2/67. Spinner Akila Dhananjaya took 1/81.
