Patna : Sanjeev Kumar, accused of opening fire at a mother-daughter duo on July 20, 2018, morning, in Daudbigha locality under Agamkuan Police Station, Patna, surrendered before a local court on July 23.
It may be mentioned here that Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Kurji locality in Patna, had barged into Anita Devi’s house at Daudbigha locality under Agamkuan police station on July 20 morning and had opened fire at Anita and her daughter Riya causing them serious injuries. Sanjeev along with his associate Golu alias Gaurav had escaped after that leaving his bike behind. Gaurav was later arrested.
Police said that Sanjeev reached Patna City Court on July 23 morning and surrendered there. He was later sent to judicial custody.
Sources said that police had kept Sanjeev’s cousin Brajesh under temporary custody to build pressure on Sanjeev to surrender. Sanjeev’ cousin lives in Rupuspur, Patna, and after firing at mother-daughter duo he had taken shelter there and after taking money from his brother had escaped.
