Patna : A joint team of state STF and DRI arrested two persons and seized 488 kg of Ganja put into 193 packets from their possession. The arrested persons were identified as Omprakash Singh, a resident of village Chand in Athmalgola (rural Patna) and Rajan Kumar Rai, a resident of Biddupur in Vaishali district.
Sources said that STF and DRI had information that huge consignment of Ganja was being brought over to Bihar. The consignment from Sambalpur in Odhisa was to be delivered at Biddupur in Vaishali district. It was being brought over by a truck bering registration number of West Bengal.
As STF and DRI team had full information about the road route, they intercepted a truck at Begusarai toll plaza and arrested Omprakash Singh and Rajan Kumar Rai sitting in the truck.
As the joint teams searched the truck, they found 193 packets containing 488 kg ganja. Both the arrested persons were being interrogated.
