Woman arrested for killing hubby with chopper in Saran

Patna : In a gruesome incident, Sinki Devi, 22, killed her husband Ravindra Singh, 30, with a chopper in the wee hours on July 4, 2018, at village Muqimpur under Garkha police station in Saran district. She killed her husband just 5 days after her marriage. Police have arrested Sinki Devi. Sinki Devi and Ravindra Singh had tied nuptial knot on June 29, 2018.

When contacted, SHO, Garkha Police Station, said that Sinki Devi told police after her arrest that she had severe headache and did not know what she was doing. This was Sinki’s second marriage and Ravindra’s third marriage, the SHO said.

An FIR was lodged with Garkha police station in this connection by the deceased’s brother Santosh Singh. Ravindra’s family members heard some sound from his room. When they peeped into the room, they were shocked to Sinki Devi hitting Ravindra with a chopper. The incident occurred around 1:30 am on July 4. SHO, Garkha PS, said that cause of murder is yet to be ascertained.
