Two govt employees arrested for taking bribe from Indira Awas benefiaciary

Buxar: On the direction of Buxar DM Raman Kuamr two government employees, both  assistants, Dilip Verma and Rajiv Ranjan were arrested and forwarded to jail on Saturday for allegedly taking illegal amount from a Indira Awas beneficiary.

Demand for illegal amount from Indira Awas beneficiaries was going on for long and the matter came to light when the Buxar DM visited Itadhi block to attend a ‘chaupal’ programme there on Saturday. The DM went to village Baradiha  and visited the hut of Bindu Kuer and tried to know whether she was aware of welfare schemes of the government. During talk, Bindu Kuer said that Dilip Verma and Rajiv Ranjan, two assistants, took Rs4500 each from her for allotment of Indira Awas. She was allotted Indira Awas in 2014-2015 and the then Indira Awas assistant Dilip Verma, who is at present posted at Navanagar, realized Rs 4,500 and again Rajiv Ranjan took Rs 4,500 from her
