Bhojpur police arrest kingpin of arms licence racket

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested kingpin of a gang Chandra Bhushan Dubey allegedly involved in arms licence racket in Nagaland from Bikramganaj in Rohtas district on June 20, 2018, evening. Police also  seized a gun, 162 live cartridges, 11 pass- books and ATM cards of different banks, an arms licencee in the name of one Rajesh Yadav of Chatara in Jharkhand on his revelation. Police lodged a named FIR against four persons of the gang including the mastermind.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that he had received information that a gang involved in arms licence racket in Nagaland was quite active in Bhojpur district and police were searching for the members this gang. On June 20 evening, he got information, that the kingpin of the gang Chandra Bhushan Dubey of Bikramganj in Rohtas district was seen near Tribhuani Kothi tri-junction under Nawada police station near Ara railway station. He immediately formed a police team and directed it to arrest him.

Police laid a trap and arrested Chandra Bhushan Dubey from near Tribhuani Kothi. The SP said that during interrogation Chandra Bhushan Dubey spilled beans on the activities of the gang and confessed his involvement in the racket. On his revelation, police seized 162 live cartridges from a box in a house in Maulabagh locality. The SP said that police are conducing raids at different places to arrest the rest three named accused in the racket and added that they would be arrested very soon.
