Ara: One person was killed while 17 others injured when a mini bus overturned into a ditch near village Shivpur under Garhani police station in Bhojpur district on Wednesday morning. The injured were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor referred two of them to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of their precarious condition. Police also brought the body ovr to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO Garhani police station said that about 18 members of a band party were returning from Gaya in a mini bus. When the bus reached near Shivpur village at about 7am on Wednesday, the driver lost control over the steering and the bus overturned into a ditch in which all except one were injured. One Roja, 35, of Sasaram was killed on spot.
