Patna : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 10 wickets in the 48th match of IPL 2018 at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, MP, on May 14, 2018, night, attaining the victory target in just 8.1 overs. RCB captain Virat Kohli remained not out on 48 in 28 ball hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes while his opening partner Parthiv Patel remained not out on 40 in 22 ball hitting 7 fours.
RCB had won the toss but opted to bowl. KXIP were all out for 88 in 15.1 overs with Umesh Yadav taking 3/23 in 4 overs. Aaron Finch, Australia, was the highest scorer for KXIP making 26 runs while openers Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle made 21 and 18 runs respectively. RCB made 92/0 in just 8.1 overs thus improving their net run rate considerably.
RCB have now 10 points from 12 matches in IPL 2018 while KXIP have 12 points from 12 matches. All the eight teams have now played 12 matches each and have to play two more matches each. SRH have 18 points from 12 matches while CSK have 16 points from 12 matches.
