One killed in firing during marriage at Rohtas village

Sasaram : One person was killed at village Gangadhi under Dinara police station in Rohtas district on May 12, 2018, night, in firing during a marriage ceremony. Police brought the body over to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

The deceased was identified as Vishnu Deo Tiwary,  50, of Pakadi locality under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur district The deceased was related to both the sides. A named FIR has been lodged with police but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

Marriage of Piyush Tiwary, son Ajit Kumar Tiwary of village Jogia in Buxar district, was being solemnised with the daughter of Pramod Rai of Gangadhi village under Dinara police station on May 12. During a dance performance, people were firing in the air. Ajit Kumar Tiwary also fired in the air but the bullet hit the back of his cousin brother Vishnu Deo Tiwary. People rushed him to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
