Auto driver shot dead near Buxar Bus Stand

Buxar : Two armed miscreants shot dead an auto driver Sonu Kumar, 25, son of a Bus Stand agent under Buxar Town police station in Buxar district on May 8, 2018, evening. The locals chased and caught the miscreants and handed them over to police.

Police brought the body over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. An FIR has been lodged with Buxar Town police station against two persons in this connection.

SHO, Buxar Town Police Station, said that Sonu Kumar, 25, son of a bus stand agent Dinesh Kumar alias Dara Singh of Koerpurava was an auto driver and was returning home. When he reached near Buxar Bus Stand, two armed miscreants shot him dead and fled away. The people present there chased and caught them. The miscreants in their bid to free themselves, opened fire in which another youth Ganesh Kumar was injured. The people thrashed the miscreants and handed them over to police. The police recovered a countrymade pistol from their possession.

The SHO said that the miscreants were identified as Kamlesh Kushwaha and Lalu Kumar Kushwaha of Koerpurava locality who said that Sonu Kumar had allegedly stolen the battery of their vehicle and they had come to take the battery from him.
