Ara : Bhojpur police took a girl to her in-laws’ place in a police jeep following the order of the court on May 9, 2018.

SHO, Ara Town police station, said that Shatrughn Prasad of Barhara and Sangeeta Kumari of Ara worked in a private channel at Ara and fell in love. As their family members came to know about it, they prevented them from meeting after which that they left their respective houses and tied nuptial knot at a temple at Dhanbad in Jhakhand.

The family members of Sangeeta Kumari lodged a named FIR with Ara Town police station against Shatrughn Prasad for allegedly kidnapping the girl. Sangeeta Kumari, under mounting pressure from the police, reached Ara and informed police that she was at Ramana Maidan. Police arrested her and produced her before an Ara court and got her statement recorded under section 164 CrPC.

Sangeeta Kumari informed the court judge that she was adult and had tied nuptial knot with Shatrughn at a temple at Dhanbad in Jharkhand and wished to live with her husband. The court accepted her wish and on the direction of the court, police took Sangeeta Kumari to her in-laws’ place at Barhara.
