Sand labourer strangulated to death in Bhojpur

Ara : A sand labourer Ravindra Kumar Singh alias Sukhal Master was strangulated to death on May 6, 2018, night, at Nusratpur sand ghat. Police recovered body of Ravindra Kumar Singh, son of Ram Pravesh Singh, from Nusaratpur sand ghat under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district on May 7, 2018, morning.

Later, police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. He was a resident of Jogata village under Chandi police station. Police detained some sand labourers for quizzing while some others escaped from the scene.

SHO, Sandesh Police Station, said that Ravindra Kumar Singh was working at Nusaratpur sand ghat for the last one month and some unidentified persons strangulated him to death on May 6 night.
