Ara : A CBI team conducted raids at the house of a suspended employee of Land Development Bank Vikash Kumar, son of late Shyam Bihari Singh, at Singh Colony in  Pakadi locality under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur district, on May 4, 2018, evening and sealed his house and also pasted an Ishtahar ( proclamation) on the wall of his house as he was not present at his house.

Vikas Kumar was an employee of the Land Development Bank in West Champaran but he was suspended allegedly in connection with embezzlement of about Rs 8 crore in the procurement of paddy. A CBI team, after the order from the CBI Court,Patna, came to Ara and conducted raid at the house of Vikas Kumar but he was out after locking his house. The CBI sealed his house and also pasted an Ishtahar on the wall. The CBI has also given a telephone and two cellphone numbers in the Ishtahar and asking the owner of the house Vikas to contact the CBI.

Shaym Bihari Singh was an employee in the Land Development Bank but he died two days before his superannuation and his son Vikas Kumar got a job of Grade four employee on compassionate ground but was later promoted to the post of a clerk.
