Patna : Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Royal Challengers Bangalaore (RCB) by 5 wickets in 24th match of IPL this season at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on April 25, 2018. CSK Captain M S Dhoni was declared Player of the Match.
RCB made 205/8 in 20 overs riding on 30 ball 68 by A B de Villiers, South Africa, with 2 fours and 8 sixes and 37 ball 53 by wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock , South Africa, with 1 four and 4 sixes. RCB Captain Virat Kohli made 18 with 3 fours while M Singh made 32 with 1 four and 3 sixes. For CSK, Shardul Thakur, Dwayne Bravo, and Imran Tahir took two wickets each. Colin de Grandhomme (11) and Pawan Negi (0) were run out.
In reply, CSK made 207/5 in 19.4 overs riding on 82 in 53 balls with 3 fours and 8 sixes by Ambati Rayudu and 70 in 34 balls with 1 four and 7 sixes by captain M S Dhoni. Bravo remained not out on 14 in 7 balls with a four and a six. Ravindra Jadeja was out for 3 while opener Shane Watson, Australia, made 7. Suresh was out for 11. For RCB, Yuzvendra Chahal took 2/26 while Pawan Negi and Umesh Yadav took one wicket each. Rayudu was run out.
