Villagers block Sakaddi-Nasariganj road to protest woman’s death

Ara : Irate villagers blocked the Sakaddi-Nasariganj main road near village Chilhaus under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district for about three hours on April 14, 2018, after the death of a woman who fell unconscious during demolition of illgal houses. They burnt tyres on road paralysing movement of vehicles and also raised slogans against the district administration.

Bhojpur district administration was constructing the Nasariganj-Sakaddi road and demolished 20 illegal houses allgedly built on government land at village Chilhaus. Seeing her house being demolished, a woman fell unconscious. Her family members rushed her to Ara Sadar hospital but she breathed her last during treatment.
