Ara Remand Home attempts suicide

Ara : An inmate of the Ara Remand Home A K Paswan, 17, tried to commit suicide on March 6, 2018, morning by slitting his hand. The authorities of the Remand Home admitted him to Ara Sadar hospital where he condition is stated to be stable. A K Paswan is son of S K Paswan of Syndicate Road under Buxar Town police station.

Buxar police had arrested him from Buxar a year ago in connection with an incident of snatching and he was kept at Ara Remand Home at Dhanupura under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district.

A K Paswan said at Ara Sadar Hospital that he felt weakness and headache and had requested the authorities for his treatment and when they did not respond, he slit his right hand with a blade. On the other hand, Incharge Remand Home A K Singh said that his mental condition is not good and he was treated at the Mental Asylum at Koelwar in Bhojpur district earlier. He had tried to commit suicide using a towel in the bathroom earlier too.
