Minor girl rape & murder, 2 lady docs refuse to perform autopsy

Ara : The family members and relatives of a minor girl, who was raped a killed by some unidentified persons at village Karath under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district on December 21, 2017, evening, went on rampage and staged demonstration in front of the office of  Civil Surgeon at Ara Sadar Hospital on December 22 when two lady doctor refused to perform post-mortem of the body.

Police had brought the body of a class II student from village Karath under Tarari police station to Ara Sadar Hospital on December 22 for post-mortem but two lady doctors on duty Dr Sazia and Dr Sushma refused to perform the post-mortem. At this, the family members and relatives of the deceased went on rampage at Ara Sadar Hospital and demanded action against the doctors concerned.

The girl, a class II student and daughter of Mukhtar Ali of village Karath, had gone to the market to buy biscuit after coming from tuition in the evening on December 21 but she did not return home. Her family members searched for her but failed to locate her after which they informed police. On December 22, police recovered the half naked body of the girl whose throat was chopped off with a sharpedged weapon.

Deputy Superintendent, Ara Sadar Hospital, Dr Satish Kumar Sinha expressed his anguish over the refusal by the lady doctors to perform autopsy and said action would be taken against them. He said now Dr Madhubala would perform the post-mortem.
