Minor girl raped and killed at Bhojpur village

Ara : Some unidentified persons, in a sensational incident, chopped of the throat of a minor girl and threw her body in a bush after outraging her modesty at village Karath under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district on December 21, 2017, night.

Police recovered the half naked body of the girl on December 22 and brought it to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Tarari police station on the statement of Mukhtar Ali, father of the girl, but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Tarari police station, said that a Class II student and daughter of Mukhtar Ali of village Karath under the police station had gone to the market to buy biscuit after coming from tuition in the evening on December 21, 2017, but she did not return till late night. Her  family members frantically searched for her but when they failed to locate her they informed police. On December 22, police recovered the half naked body of the girl whose throat was chopped off with a sharpedged weapon.
