Ara: Commissioner, Patna Division, Anand Kishore, lost his cool when his attention was drawn towards non- compliance of the orders of Patna High Court by Bhojpur district administration. He was addressing a meeting organised by Ara Planning Area Authority with all the stakeholders for the preparation of master plan for the development of Ara town on December 12, 2017, at Krishi Bhawan.
Patna High Court had ordered the Bhojpur District administration about 10 years ago to remove encroachments from the historical Ramana Maidan but the district administration has not complied with the order till date. The Bhojpur district administration instead built a stage and road around the Maidan besides cycle and motorcycle parking stands there. A few construction came up in the name of temple.
Patna High Court had ordered not to allow construction of  multi-storey buildings of more than 11 metre high with less than 20 feet roads but in Ara a number of multi-storey buildings have been made at several places allegedly in connivance with the district administration with the approval of Ara Municipal Corporation. The then SDO, Ara,  Anil Kumar Singh had submitted a report to the then Bhojpur DM regarding illegal construction of a number of multi-storey buildings at in Ara violating the order of the Patna High Court and provisions of the Municipal Act but no action was taken on the report.
The Commissioner was taking the views of the people on the development of Ara town on December 12. A reporter drew his attention towards the non- compliance of the orders of the Patna High Court at which the Commissioner lost his cool and asked him to sit down.
