Patna : India were all out for 112 in 38.2 overs in the first ODI against Sri Lanka at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala, HP, on December 10, 2017, with former Captain M S Dhoni being the last man out on 65 in 87 balls hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes. Dhoni was out to T Perera. Dhoni played a brilliant inning in very trying circumstances. The second highest scorer was Chinman bowler Kuldip Yadav who made 19.

Captain Rohit Sharma made 2 while Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Kartik, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah failed to score. Manish Pandey made two,S Ayer 9 and Hardik Pandya 10. Dhawan was out when the score was zero while Rohit Sharma was out with the score reading only two.

The wicket of Kartik fell on 8 and that of Manish Pandey when the score was 16. The fifth wicket also fell on 16 with Ayer getting out. The sixth wicket of Pandya fell when the score was 28 while the seventh wicket fell on 29 when Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was out. Kuldip Yadav’s wicket was the 8th wicket to fall with the score reading 70 only. Dhoni and Kuldi were involved in apartnership of 41 runs.

For Sri Lanka, Suranga Lakmal took 4/13 in ten overs, Nuwan Pradeep took 2/37, T Perera 1/29, Akila Dhananjay 1/7, Sachith Pathirana 1/16, and Angelo Mathews 1/8.
