Patna : Bihar Governor cum Chancellor of State Universities while inaugurating the ‘Centenary Exhibition’ of Patna University at Wheeler Senate House on December 8, 2017, said that he has directed the officials concerned not to grant affiliation to new colleges lacking Common Room and Washroom for girls.
The Governor said that all the universities and old colleges too have been directed to provide for Common Room and Washroom for girls at their respective buildings. He also said that holding the elections to the Students Union will benefit the varsities as it provides a forum for discussion between the students and university authories over different issues.
The Governor while promising every possible support to the universities including Patna University from Chancellor’s Secretariat said that he would be visiting different universities from time to time.
The Governor said that the hundred year history of Patna University was glorious and hoped that the university would soon regain its past glory.
