Patna: Six armed criminals riding three bikes looted Ra 50,000 cash from a pterol pump, S K Puri Service Centre, Ranipur, under Mehdiganj police station, Patna, after midnight on October 1, 2017, aftering firing at a staff Vidhan Kumar injuring his jaw and assaulting two other employees. The criminals also took away the hard disc of the CCTV camera while escaping.
The owner of the petrol pump Dhiraj Komlam, aresident of Rajendranagar, Patna, later claimed before police that the criminals had looted around Rs 9 lakh. But, the FIR lodged with Mehdiganj police station soon after the incident refers to loot of only Rs 50,000 cash, said the Officer Incharge (OC) of the police station. The OC said the criminals reached the petrol pump at 12.20 am and asked its employees to refill the the fuel tank of one of the three bikes. Two other bikes were parked on the road. Police have identified one of the bikes and hope to arrest the criminals soon, the OC said.
