Youth arrested for trying to forcibly marry a girl

Ara: Bhojpur police arrested a youth and forwarded him to jail for trying to forcibly marry a teenage girl under Sahar police station on Tuesday. The SHO, Sahar police station, said that Ajit Singh of village Perhap village had forcibly lifted a girl of the same village under Sahar police station with  a view to marrying her. After their arrest, the girl said  that was the boy forcibly trying to marry her but she wants to live with her parents. Later, the police brought her to the Ara Civil Court and got her statement recorded under section 164 CrPC. Later, the girl was handed over to her parents.
