Three arrested in connection with Belchi cash loot

Patna : Police on March 29, 2017, arrested three criminals including Shivshankar Singh and his two sons from Samastipur in connection with loot of Rs 60 lakh from a vehicle on the premises of Bagha Tila branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) under Belchi police station in Patna district on March 16,2017.

Six armed criminals, who were following the vehicle from Barh, Patna, looted the cash after killing two guards and driver. Police have also recovered Rs 45 lakh looted cash kept in a milk container hidden underground from the house three arrested persons. They had also purchased a pick-up van from the looted cash. Earlier, police had arrested one Mukesh from Belchi in this connection who spilled the beans. The bank manager is also on police radar.
