Ara : SDO, Ara,  Navdeep Shukla made a surprise inspection of  Ara Sadar Hospital on May 14, 2017, and found half a dozen employees including doctors absent from duty. Shukla expressed his serious concern over their absence from the hospital without information and said departmental action would be initiated against them.

It may be mentioned here that employees and doctors come to Ara Sadar Hospital as per their convenience whether they are assigned duty in emergency ward or OPD. Whenever some strict action is taken to ensure their presence on time during duty hour, they resort to agitation. When the former Bhojpur DM had made biometric system mandatory for the attendance of employees and doctors with a view to ensuring their presence at the hospital, all of them resorted to agitation paralysing functioning of the hospital. They even refused to attend the patients saying the order of the DM was an attack on their prestige.

That apart, the doctors deputed to Ara Sadar Hospital, Primary health centre (PHCs), Referral Hospitals always advice patients to come to their private clinic for better treatment in full public view.
