New Delhi : A total of 59,105 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 71,37,228 at 8 am on October 26, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (6,53,717) by a massive margin of 64,83,511. The also recorded 45,148 new COVID-19 cases during last 24 hours taking the tally to 79,09,959. The number of active cases was 8.26% of the total cases recorded so far in the country on October 26, 2020.
Of the 79,09,959 COVID-19 cases recorded so far in the country, altogether 71,37,228 patients have been declared cured till date with the recovery rate being 90.23%. The country has tested 10,34,62,778 so far including 9,39,309 samples on October 25, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll increased to 1,19,014 on October 26, 2020, with 480 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country during last 24 hours including 112 from Maharashtra, 60 from West Bengal, 33 from Delhi, 32 from Karnataka, 31 from Tamilnadu, 28 from Uttar Pradesh, 26 from Kerala, 25 from Chhattisgarh, 21 from Andhra Pradesh, 10 from Punjab, 10 from Madhya Pradesh, 9 from Uttarakhand, 7 from Gujarat, 7 from Haryana, and 7 from Bihar. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.50% in the country on October 26, 2020.
