Patna : Bihar Industries Association (BIA), with the guidance and support from the Industries Department of Bihar Government, is organising the 5th edition of  ” Destination Bihar Expo”  from March 9 to March 13, 2018, at Patna Gandhi Maidan Ground. The event of this year is special for the BIA as it marks its “Platinum Jubilee Year”.

The 5-day long event will be Iiaugurated by Speaker, Bihar Legislative Assembly, Vijay Kumar Choudhary on March 9, 2018, at 6.30 pm at Gandhi Maidan. The concluding ceremony of the function is scheduled for March 13, 2018. The visiting hours of the exhibition for general public has been fixed from 12 noon to 8 pm. every day. Entry to the exhibition is free. Apart from foodstalls, 250 stalls have been put up for display of projects and services by the exhibitors.

Various departments of the State Government including Industries Department, Tourism Department, Road Construction Department, Urban Development & Building Construction Department, Health Department, Department of Art, Culture & Youth are participating at the event. Apart from State Government Departments, many Central Government Ministries and their undertaking are also participating at the event, according to a BIA release.

Departments of the State Government and Central Government will display and publicise the policies and programme of the government. Local entrepreneurs working are also putting stalls to display their products and services to showcase their capabilities which will also motivate and encourage new and prospective investors to think for investing in the State.

Special arrangement has been made for women entrepreneurs operating in Small and Tiny sector to showcase their skill and products and create market base. AIIMS – Patna and Ruban Memorial Hospital are also participating at the event where they will provide free health check-up facility and various test facilities free of cost and also conduct educational programme for healthy life.

Cultural Programme will also be organised every day in evening hours for entertaining the visitors, who can also enjoy test of various food items at foodstalls. Deputy Chief Minister  Sushil Kumar Modi will grace the valedictory function of the event on March 13. Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik has also been invited vto address the valedictory programme.
