Araria : Former Union Minister Sharad Yadav, a former JD(U) president, on March 7, 2018, reached village Aurahi Hingna under Forbesganj Sub-Division in Araria district, the birth place of noted novelist late Phanishwarnath Renu, and campaigned in favour of RJD nominee from Araria parliamentary constituency for the March 11, 2018, bypoll to the seat Sarfraz Alam.
Sharad alleged that Bihar CM and JD(U) president Nitish Kumar and BJP leader and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi were instrumental in sending RJD chief Lalu Prasad to jail. Nitish and Sushil Modi have betrayed the people of the state, Sharad said and appealed the
voters to teach them a lesson by voting for RJD candidate Sarfraz Alam.
